I have a 4-5in Jag who just got over a case of HITH. Because of that he lost a lot of weight. What can I feed him to beef him back up? He refuses pellets now. Ive been feeding him freeze dried krill and tilapia fillets.

You can see he had it pretty bad. This literally developed over night, that or it happened very quickly because I am always by my tank and I didn't even notice it until he stopped swimming around.

Hes swimming around now and he's eating.

I would still just feed pellets w/ maybe a weekly treat. You may also want to treat for internal parasites as he may have contracted some because of the stress. Watch for stringy white feces as that is a sign of I. Parasites. As for the treats I like krill.

What your jag needs most now is a well balanced nutrition so that it's body can continue to grow and heal. When it is 100% healthy it will put weight on. Pellets are really the only diet that ensures that it gets everything it needs at least that is feasible.

Agreed - keep up the pellets, but I'd add nightcrawlers every 5-7 days

Maybe try hikari Gold...
Seems to work with my oscars that get HITH...

See heres the problem, he refuses the pellets as well as my pike. He used to eat them with no problem, now they just sink passed his face.
