Hello Everybody! I've been owning rays since the first week of septemper 2009. I have two rays; my male Angel and my female no name yet still thinking. Well my male is very healthy he is actually a little obese. My female on the other hand aint doing so good. Her pelvic bones have sprouted through her skin. I've been handfeeding my rays since september to make sure thir each having thier meals which is always frozen blood worms. Is thir anway I can fatten her up, I've actally noticed her jumping on some of my silver dollars...:ROFL:Please help I would greatly appreciate it. Also if it means for me to purchase any other meals I'll go for it even if it means for me placing a goldfish in a sepearte tank and add medications to it.

P.S. Both my rays are Motoro and the male is about 6in the female about 6.5-7in, in disc

Bloodworms aren't really much of a meal. Get some black worms and/or earthworms, get her eating those ASAP, and from there try getting her interested in other stuff like shrimp and pellets if possible.

Boodworms are not nutritious, get her eating something else either earthworms, blackworms if you have to.

Everyone has pretty much covered it. Throw in some large canadian nightcrawlers to start and then go with shrimp, pellets, frozen minnows, krill, scallops ect... Good luck

if she is eating and still skinny i would lean towards the likely possibility of intestinal parasites.

Well I'll first go out and purchase black and earth worms and see how that goes for a few weeks if nothing changes then I will medicate her. Thanks you for the replies!
