My tanks ph recently crashed , and my tank seems to have started cycling again, my tanks ph was 4.5 for a few days.
after removing the huge driftwood and using baking soda earlier , the tanks ph is at about 6 or 6.5
already have 4 arowanas and many red hooks in my tank.
ammonia is .25 - .5mg/l
hoping my ph stays at 6.5, i dosed with ammolock yesterday but ran out of it :(

now i'm a little worried.

I took some filter media from my other tank which is already cycled. and placed it inside my other tank which is cycling, can ui skip cycling by doing this? I've done it before. but really nervous about this.
the media i moved from the other tank is 2 pieces filter floss and a pack of ceramic rings. will this be enoigh to seed my filter?

really need advice. Since I'm still in panic mode.
Also my silver arowana eye turned white because of low ph. can i dose with melafix while cycling?

thanks.

You need to move the whole filter to the new tank. You are walking on very thin ice. There is no way I would try that. You need to get your fish in an established tank and let that one do a complete cycle. Feed it raw ammonia until you have the cycle complete.

I would try adding Bio-Spira to that tank to help it along. Add it directly to your filter. You must have fish in there for it to work tough. You also must remove any ammonia-removing products from the tank with a large WC. What is the pH of your tap water?

thanks , Tap water is 7.5. Not sure if bio spira is available here.
When i measured ammonia this morning it was still at .25 - .5 mg/l
will have to do a big water change again.

I don't have a spare tank since this tank was already cycled before.
so really in panic mode:)

No, you won't be able to get B-S where you live (sorry I didn't notice that). You're just going to do as many large WC as necessary to keep your am/ni as close to 0 as possible. You can't do too many...
