So i was wondering wat would cause a jar to become very skitish all of a sudden. i started to notice the change when i did the last water change. my jar is about 8 or 9 inches shares a tank with a green phantom. he is jumping and hitting the top glass and then he swims around really fast and hits the sides. After his flurry he calms down but he stays in one place and his tail starts to sink i was thinking that it might be dazed from hitting himself or something not sure. It has also lost about 3 scales from running into some drift wood that is in the tank. will the grow back and if so about how long will it take? Any input is appreciated.

Thank you

I hate to ask the same old question but what are the water params seeing as it happened after a water change?

There could be a few different reasons, once the jar became injured it will be skittish until it's nerves calm. Just give it a few days and see if that helps.

One thing it could be, if you've had the jar awhile and it has been growing the tank could become ever increasingly too small. This though depends on what size tank he is currently in.
