i agree.
my tem used to be really skittish.
but now at 4 inches,hes only a bit skittish during water changes and will eat once i drop food into the tank.

there bashing em selves up sumthing fierce!! and my lil tiger oscar picks on them! 1 of my tems hasnt eaten in a couple of syas cause he jumped outta my tank whislt the oscar was chasing it round...surely bala/silver sharks or silver dollars will fix this..
lol seems like your problem is stressed out cichla.. get rid of the oscar bradda.. and i agree bala sharks are just going to make your fish even more skittish from there quick moves and fast actions
cant boot the oscar!!! my missus will kill me!! haha it's hers! i just bought 3 spotted silver dollars but the lil buggers are to small..

i'd leave the pbass without tankmates and put in a divider to seperate the oscar.

its bad to swap fish back and forth with small cichla bc of stress and thats a good way to introduce disease from the your lfs aquariums
