Hi All,
Two months ago I bought my first Red Terrors. Only verysmall, the big one was about 40mm long and the smaller about 30mm. Sincesettling into their new tank they have been little eating machines and havegrown like crazy. The big one now about 100mm long. I have had them in a 4 foottank with four silver dollars and some firemouths and everyone is gettingalong fine (for now).
Up until about three weeks ago the RTs were fearless, alwayshappy to see me and never hid. But now they are quite skittish and nervous. When I get home from work they will still be against the glass keen for foodbut when I approach to feed they dart and sit in their cave. If I sit stillthey will come out and eat but if I move to much theyre gone. The smaller oneis braver than the big one, it will hold out a bit longer, curling its body andmoving away slowly but will eventually end up under the rock with its mate.
Nothing has changed in the tank, water changes every week, same variety of food etc.
I wondered if it was the skittishness of the silver dollarsthat was making them nervous so I have taken them out to see if that makes anydifference. I like the SDs but they would just go mental at the slightestmovement near the tank.
Any ideas?
