Skittish P-Bass

I have three Mono's, there about 5 to 6 inches in size now, i've had them since they were about 2.5 in size. i walk into to room, and they dart across the tank, like i'm trying to kill them....Anyone one else have skittish P's, and will they ever relax.............Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. I have Silver dollars in there as well. Are there any tankmates that help? Do they relax as they get older? Thnaks

There tankmates are three Irridecent Sharks, that swim up and down for hours, and ignore my P-bass...............

they are skittish because they are alarmed and bass are smart fish. They will try to avoid any possible threat as a youngster. Could also be that your tank is too small.. just imo

Two small, its a 55 gallon grow out tank with three P-Bass in it, and they spend all there time on one side anyway, so what do you mean to small.

try getting a 50,000 gallon tank and tell me the difference of their characteristcs and behaviors in your 50k g tank

So why aren't they skittish, at the lfs, when there in a 20 gallon tank, and theres over twenty of them....huh

The bass don't know your face yet. Do you spend more time with the bigger bass then you do with the baby bass?
