Slashing credit limits.

So I just got a thing in the mail today from my credit card. they are telling me they are cutting my credit limit. granted they are only cutting it $200 but still I hate the fact that in hard times and credit crunches they are simply cutting peoples limits without notice.

Now My balance is under what they cut me to so that's ok. but it doesn't make me feel all happy about it.


so has anyone else got one of these dear john, we are slashing your credit limit letters? And if so how much did they cut your limit?

Don't say how much you have just how much they are cutting you.

Don't say how much you have just how much they are cutting you.

They are doing it by regions or zip codes, if your area has lots of layoffs, then the limits in that area are being reduced across the board.

They may have placed an annual charge on your account as well, might chek into that as well.

Hmm I didn't read that. but my area is HIGHLY effected by layoffs. and plant closings.

I have no cut's so far. And i'm pretty close to you. But i think my parents got cut, And there credit is INSANELY good. Sorry to hear that bro.
