How big do they usually get in tanks? I can't seem to find any solid information on them. The best I've found suggest 2 feet in the wild though I'm not sure what that translates to in a tank.

Btw, I recently just found out I had a Sleeper Goby heh, which I know, I should've done the research first to make sure. It was sold to me as a "Jade" Goby though I assumed regardless it'd be fine because it would be going into a 120 gallon tank with some catfish.

Right now it's probably 7+" long, he's a fat fish and is the master of the tank. He even swims up to the surface to piss off the 7" Marbled Characin I have. Now that I read though of how big he gets I'm probably going to give away the "Gar" and a couple catfish.

i have grown them 12-14 inches in 55-75 gallons they are active for gobys and will eat anything from vegtable mater to live fish. they also grow larger in brackish water from what ive seen.they mix well with all large fish including cichlids.

id be shocked if you got it much over a foot. it is fine with fish that are too big to eat and that can handle the activity of it. I had one for a while and it really bored me. I was so excited to get it, then I was sadly let down.

i dont doubt it cause ive done it before. be carefull getting info on these boards try to talk to people who really own keep and breed the fish if possible. its like a person getting 1 dovii who isnt aggressive then they get on a message boards and say dovii arent aggressive because the one they had wasnt. i have keep gobys for about 20 years now. gobys are my favorite fish. i currently own MARBLED SLEEPER GOBYS, my favorite fish in the world, spotted sleeper goby, peacock gudgeons, and a few true gobys. the one you are asking about gets big and has lots of personality compared to most gobys, and to give you a idea of my collection i have african tigerfish, gooch catfish, bichirs, chaca chacas. a breeding pair of dovii a breeding pair of black nasty a breeding pair of cuban cichlis, a young pair of loselli and the list goes on. i see so much incorrect info on gobys on this site its crazy.most people get gobys keep them in tanks that arent set up for there needs and then talk about how they dont like the fish. research research research.
