Hello everyone.

I am interested in creating some worthwhile reading material for fishkeepers interested in the various bottom-dwelling oddballs that we see from time to time. Some of my target species are the Jade Goby, Marble Goby and Water Cow.

If you have ever kept any of the above fish, or any other freshwater "gobies" or sleepers, please post here so I can contact you later with questions.

I hope to create some good articles and threads so that people interested in these species will no longer feel out of the monster loop since there is almost zero data available on the web in regards to them.

Let me know about any other species that you think fit in this category, but please no Wolf Fish, as we are already quite well-informed on them.

Thanks,

Michael

Lol... I think it is becoming clear why there is no information available on the net concerning these fish. Nobody owns them or wants to?

Well I have a Marble Goby. He came with a tank I got from someone else and I didn't know what it was at the time. You're right though, there isn't a ton of info about them on the net. I feed mine minnows, bloodworms and krill.

i have a few different kinds of gobys marbled sleeper gobysare my favorite fish i have a breeding pair of marbled sleeper goby a 15 in male and a 9 inch female. a 10 inch spotted sleeper(water cow) who just ate a 7 1/2 inch dorado and a 6 inch shortnose gar, also have a female purple spot gudgeon son killed her mate. should have jade gobys in a week or so. looking for bigmouth sleepers now

i have a marbled sleeper goby, i call him d*ckhead as he kills pretty much everything, i feed him minnows, i do have a small bullhead in with him i got from the bait shop, so far its terrorized, but alive

I got a water cow not to long ago. About 1' and only thing I have figured out he eats so far is market shrimp and feeder fish, which he gets less of now that he eats the shrimp.

I bought 2 of these guys about a month ago and threw them in my 30 gallon community tank. They were sold as Midnight goby's, is that even right? Sorry for the bad pic, but the dorsal fin has a bright blue in it and they also get some red hints through the fins.

one thing i find interesting, all ive read about marbled sleeper gobies, noone talks about how they change colors, they do and its very cool
