I am planning on building an indoor pond for my 3 sliders(2-red ear 1-yellow belly). It will probably be between 200-300 gallons. What would be some good tankmates in this size pond. What do you have???
. Very few problems. Just make chure nobody fits in anybody else`s mouth, that they all have acess to food and basking spots and that you quarantine anything new you put in there. Remenbar that comunity habitats are bether made with females. I keep my animals in groups of the same sex to avoid male /female conflicts and unwanted babys. Dont mix male sliders unless raised together from a very young age. Litle problem in mixing with other species malesYour avatar its simply put the funniest Ive ever seenChevyMan03;1795005; said:Mine eats about everything i try to put in with him...but i did have a common plec in with him for close to a year and he never messed with it (prolly because the plec could hide)

It really deppends how big is the habitat and what is the personality of the individual turtschesterfieldzoo;1805171; said:Larger goldfish or koi, pleco. I have a pond with multiple males who were placed together as adults - the only problem I had was between a large male cooter and a male RES. They would fight every now and then. I solved the problem with a bigger pond and submerged plants and caves.
