Does anybody use sliders(The thing attached to the bottom to move heavy things easier) for the stand of their big tanks if your using one please share your expirience and if you have pictures too to share of the slider you use Thanks.

personally i wouldnt because that much weight and if you put too much pressure on the glass... things might go wrong... plus i dont think it will be completely level which is a problem for tanks

Why will put pressure on the glass?

I used them under my tank and stand when I was deciding on room location. They're ok when it's empty, worthless when it's full.

It can put twisting force on the glass if they aren't all even with each other. this can crack the glass or rip the seal. Also, it could create pressure points, depending how your stand is built. This, too, is no good for the glass and could cause a failure.

I used it before on a 75 gallons the thin sliders and it was fine but don't know with big tanks...anyway everybody kept saying might put presure on glass what about acrylic?

where u still using it when there was water and how big was your tank?

I make a wooden tray to move empty tanks about on. Basically a flat sheet of wood with some reinforcing underneath. I attached 4 castors so it can spin and turn on the spot. I can move 4x2x2, 6x2x2 and 8 x2x2 foot tanks on my own with this by sliding and lowering them off their stands or manufacture table onto the trolley end on (so the tank is standing vertical on one end). May need to chock the wheels to stop the tray sliding out here. I can then move them around one handed and can delicately manouver through narrow doorways, down long corridors, around sharp corners and past other tanks etc without fear or danger. At the destination I just reverse the process to get them onto the stand. Floors need to be flat obviously but even carpet is okay.

I have several sizes for different tanks (heavy duty).
