Urghhh my mother loving 180 I just got resealed and filled after sitting 3 days,,well it is un level a hair, nothing major, would you trust it? For some reason the floor is unlevel in the only spot I can put it, can you shim it filled up??? I got 3x pieces of cardboard under it but can't tell any levelness from it

Wouldn't worry about it.

I would shim it if it's quarter inch or more. Use composte shims.

it is filled and water is settled, it is truly a hair off, thanks for the ideals, it is on concrete floor

The only time one has to truly be concerned about a tank being out of level, is when it's off from corner to corner X, that cross torsion stress can cause the glass to fail. Being slightly off from side to side, front to back, or vice versa, isn't an issue unless it's off enough to bother you aesthetically.

Can you explain what you mean when you say the tank is off from corner to corner X?

Front corner, to back corner. So across the length of the tank, front to back. It causes torsion twist, and is often the cause of fractures in glass tanks. Basically you don't want to end up with one of the four corners of your stand being lower or higher than the other three corners.

Thanks, the spot where I want my tank is a little uneven from front to back.I was thinking about making a concrete platform to sit the stand on but I don't want it to be too high....two inches maybe.

If the entire length of the front, is slightly higher (or lower) than the back, that shouldn't be an issue, other than your water level in the tank will be slightly off. Same as if a tank leans a bit to the left, or to the right. If the whole tank is leaning slightly one way or the other it's not creating any torsional twist across the corners, so there's no additional stress on the glass.

Interesting,so I won't bother with constructing a platform,if anything I'll just shim it.
