There is like this whitish slime on parts of my malaysan(sp) driftwood. Is it harmful to my fish? And what can I do to get it off? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Andrew

I've noticed this myself, in the parts of the driftwood that my pleco can't reach. My water conditions are good (nitrates below 10), it's been there for some time and my fish are fine. What it is, or whether it is really harmful in any way is beyond me though. I'd like to know myself.

Mine is relativly new. I bought it from big Als's only a month ago. I put the wood in the tank during cycling and I dont have any Pleco's in there yet. (Soon to be 5 L134's and 5 L260's) I have a FW barracuda (Hujeta) and a Pbass. I'm hoping they'll be alright... lol.

Anyone?
