I'm new to the planted experience. So far it has been good. I have a 46 gal bowfront with several plants in it. My problem is this film that I keep getting on the surface of the water. Can anybody tell what to do about it, is it natural?

I was under the impression that I did not want any surface movement I would loose whatever co2 may be in the tank . I have a Ehiem 2217 running on it with the flow pointed into the corner.

I get it on my tank too. I just try not to let it bother me.

Create surface movement. Add a powerhead should do the job. Good luck.
Don't do this.

You can add powerheads to add a little surface movement, but do not have ripples on the surface. It will not harm your tank. Personally, I'd just leave it there.
