Slow growers

Are Severums slow growers? Just wondering because I've had a Gold one about a year in a 72 bow front and he is 4 inches tops also have a green Severum that is about the same size and I've had him around 8 months. They have both significantly grown since I have had them. Just not to the size I imagined they would be by now.just curious didn't know they were very slow growers

If the feeding and water quality are good, i wouldn't be too worried. none of the sevs I've kept grew particularly fast, and i consider them slow growers compared to other similarly sized cichlids

Just making sure I didn't stunt their growth or something somehow they get regular water changes and they eat like horses
