Since I posted about this guy/gal last time he/she has put on about 3/4 of an inch. Which isn't too bad since that was only about a month or so ago. It's really starting to get more aggressive at feeding time and I have been feeding LOTS Krill. Here is a pic taken last night.

I have read other members here that say that krill is not the best for packing on weight on cichlids.

Get some black worms and earth worms in the diet to increase the growth rate.

yeah earthworms worked great for mine. Get the small ones called panfish worms or red worms. Cut them in half or smaller if needed. Once they smell it and taste it they'll chow em down

Good luck

blackworms will be a waste of money...since there so small use earthworms, and beefheart for bulk...

minnows work well also, i fed mine strictly market shrimp and minnows and it grew from 1 1/2 inches to 6 inches in 5 months

Mine eat earthworms, feeder fish, guppies, chiclid gold, and even the occasional pinky mouse!!!!

I was just looking at your sig and we have similar stocking....have you had any trouble with the more aggressive fish picking on the BP's? Also what size tank do you have?
