Slowest growing Pleco

I have a L18 Gold Nugget. I've have it for about 9 months an it's only grow about a half inch. 2.5"-3". Is that normal for these fish? I heard they get as large a 6" an I'm wondering how long its take to get that size.
Any one else have plecos that grow at a slow rate?

I have Zebra L046 and gold nugget L018 and got a picture together, not the best but got both. Nugget is about 5"

What do you feed them? Mine only seem to eat blood worms an now some brine shrimp. No pellets, no algae wafers, no veggies, every now an then I'll see it eat algae off the tank walls. How long have you had the GN?

They grow larger than 6", I've seen some around 14"/35cm.

I have 2 that are 6 inches long. I have had mine for 3 years now. Snookn had some fore sale about a year and half ago for sale that were 14 to 16 inches long. They get big but it just takes a while. They are one of the slower growers that I have delt with

Pretty risky keeping L46's in a community. Gn's are pretty slow growers, but most panaque species have them best imo

Mine ate pellets, veggies and market shrimp.
