Probably not a good idea i know, but living in oregon there are slugs everywhere and i was wondering if anyone knew if they were safe. I feed my bichirs earthworms when it rains but it would be fun to watch them choke down a fat ole slug. Any thoughts?

It depends if the lawn is chemically treated. Since you have the slugs, it is a safe bet that the lawn isn't. The slugs will be fine. They will go into defense mode when they are eaten and produce ungodly amounts of slime. It will look like the fish are having a hard time with them dealing with the slime but they will enjoy them. They are a good source of protien.

Puffers love them!

slugs seem like they would be a great treat for larger fish. ive seen some slugs that were ungodly large.

i could see many, many fish enjoying those things to no end. the more slime they make, the more i could see the fish liking it. especially considering fish go nuts over red worms. and those bad boys secrete some horrible smelling stuff when scared.

Sweet!:headbang2Yeah there are some around that are to big but i get alot that would be great. Free food for my fish and entertainment for me:grinno:

hey, should try breeding them. might be the new craze in feeding your monster fish:headbang2:headbang2

dam ive always thought about slugs but never tried it,
there huge around my way, even carry little flick knifes there that big

When I was keeping Oscars none of them liked the slugs, they would try them in the beginning and then spit them out. Then after a few attempts they would just ignore them alltogether.
