is there any reason why i couldnt use an undergravel to filter a small brackish system?
i just found a 18x8x8 that was going unused and thought about perhaps keeping a couple of brackish gobies and small cats.

the reason i thought undergravel is because it will sit under a larger tank and have a spare airline :) the only reason i could see this not working is the bubbles?

i was kinda contemplating a single specimen fish of about 3 inches, perhaps something similar to a bullrout (thought clearly NOT a bullrout)

thanks guys.

Undergravel filters are good filters if taken care of properly. However, I prefer sumps, canisters, and HOBs. If you were to do an undergravel filter, get powerhead, those fish love the flow. How big is the tank, and what do you plan on putting in it? I love brackish, so PM away if you have any questions.
