I have two JD's in with about 10 other fish and about a week ago I noticed a tiny small brown spot protruding from one side of their tails. I did a 50% w/c and added some salt. Now the spots have doubled in size but are too small for me to get a pic of. Any one have any idea's as to what these may be? They havent moved, or multiplied and are about the same size as a 1/4 of a grain of rice. I searched all over this forum and didnt find anything similar to this at all. Thanks guys.

Do you have pics of this, Kat? What are these other fish? Water parameters? Temperature? How long have you had these fish?

Hey lupin,
I took over 50 pics of these two and never captured the bump I'm speaking of. I have 3 tinfoil barbs, 5 CL's, and 2 O's in a 110. (I know it's over stocked but its well over filtered) ammo-0, nitrite-0, nitrate-<10ppm. Temps around 82 and I've had these Jacks for about 5 months. They are both active and dont show any obvious signs of stress. I searched the FW disease thread and didnt see anything that made an exact match, IMO. I'm gonna make an edjucated guess and think parasite because there is no sign of damage and all of the other tank inhabitants are fine. Any thought's?

Certainly not fish lice? I have an odd feeling it is.
