Ever since I bouth a Wild Pair of Compressips (supposedly), which the female had a strange growth on her chin, looked like 2 small peas next to each other. Now, I dont have the female any more over fears that my red tail would have her for dinner so I brought her back. Ever since I then, I have added fish and almost all my fish get the same "bump". It starts of small, then gets bigger and then it goes away. Right now my Ocsar has it, the snook has some type of abrasion on his bottom lip, everything else so far is ok. It doesnt kill them, just comes and goes. It seemed like at the time, it was only the females that got it, maybe the snook and oscar are female as well, idk. My last pair or breeding Synspilums had the same issue, female only. Any one seen this before? Over the weekend I did a 100% water change, got new gravel, cleaned the filters, new cartridges, etc, cycled the water, let it run for a few and then put the fish back in. Did some water tests to make sure nothing was out of cycle, no high ammonia, etc, so far so good. Kind of hard to get pics but I can try.
