Everyone on here has massive c02 systems... and at my local pet store i seen small c02 tanks that the guy said would work.. didnt go into much detail with him had to run... jsut wondering how exactly these smaller c02 cartridges work with my tank... if some one can give me the lowdown?]

edit: sorry kinda in wrong section... but its regarding my planted aquarium

those co2 kits that use paintball tanks are junk. youll quickly find that it's more expensive to run because youre refilling/swapping tanks more often, and it gets very annoying. with co2 tanks, you need to get as big as you could fit/lift/afford! i have a 10lb tank on my 57g, wish i could have fit a 20lb'er!

concept is the same though, difference is how much you can store. think of it as big rig truck with a 10g fuel tank ;)

I stick to full size cylinders myself. 10 and 20 lb bottles are the way to go for mos tanks.

I run a 10g planted off a paintball tank and only have to run to the refill every week give or take. Anything bigger than 10g and you'll be back and forth 3-4 times a week.:nilly: But i DON'T recommend buying a paintball tank FOR this purpose. I was simply taking the free way out. Paintball tanks need a "remote tank line" for this to work because the threading is different from the regulator to the 20 oz tank. [All of this i had already]

I also would recommend against buying a "Kit"... if you buy things separately you'll spend the same and get much higher quality items.
