small channel cat

my lfs has some tiny channel cat. how much time do they have to sell them before they get big?

It might take a while for them to get big in a tiny tank with out proper feedings. One of my LFS has had some blue channels for like 5 months now and they haven't really grown at all.

Give em proper feedings and a good size tank and they will grow like weeds.

The growth rate of channel catfish is. determined by water temperature they grow bigger and faster in warm water i have one in my pond in the U.K and it is growing slowley as it hardly eats in the winter. will get to 13" in 1 year in a tank no problem and very predatory my one ate a few small tench I had in my pond I know cos I caught him
