any good colorful small cichlids that won't hide all the time my tank has pretty strong currents.? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated

What size tank? Cant suggest anything with out tank size or tank mates for that matter

I have a 56 gallon column tank with one canister filter Eheim 2217, aquaclear 70 hob, a hydor 200 gallon sponge filter with aquaclear 70 powerhead. Lots of pothos ivy and lucky bamboo for extra filtration weekly water changes 30 to 40 percent of volume. I have 2 pineapple pleco, 2 featherfins, one callichtys callichtys catfish and 3 spotted raphael , 3 strip raphaeal. this not for life upgrade in the future. Need some mid water to top swimmers about 2 small cichlids will be good or any other suggestion would be greatly appreciated
Single angelfish,a pair of convicts,rainbow cichlids, single firemouth, there are plenty of dwarf cichlid species that could work

Maybe a convict that's about it if it's a column tank probably a small footprint

above is Cryptoheros nanoluteus, they don't get too large for your size tank, and can easily stand the current.
