Hey folks. Was wondering if anybody ever observes this from they're clown group. I have a few small clowns (3 to 4inch) that will chase some of the larger clowns in circles. The smaller one will be right on the larger ones side and pin himself with the larger one. This can last for anywhere from a few seconds to a straight minute or 2. I have one particular 4in loach that seems to do it most. He will randomly pick a large loach out and just harrass him for a short time. It's pretty obvious it's harmless behavior, but still can't figure out the reasoning for it. Maybe just some play time, but it's just weird how it's mostly always a small one chasing a larger one. Anybody ever experience this behavior with their clowns?

Yep. If I catch mine around 3am almost all of them will be playing "follow the leader". Sometimes when they get excited two if them will square off and chase each other. Loaches are funny like that. I don't know if it's true but reading up on them people 'theorize' it may be because the big one breaks the current for the little ones, think drafting in NASCAR or on the highway behind an 18 wheeler. I think it's just them being the screwballs they are, but it does seem normal behavior for them.

Glad mine aren't the only screwball loaches! This wacky behavior i guess is part of what makes these loaches so entertaining and unpredictable. The whole breaking the current theory def makes some sense out of it.
