i caught some nice kings and red snapper over there last year....if you ever get down near alligator point hit me up i can reccomend some good guides or if you got a boat i would be happy to ride along and show you some good spots

Cant believe I missed this thread. Man, Id love to get on some ling like that! Did you have them chummed up or where they down on the bottom (looks like you had a bottom rig on).

Thats awesome, gotta love pleasant surprises like that. Im getting geared up for the Spring run. I had a friend pour me some jigs and Im gonna start wrapping them pretty soon. Ive also been going to the local play ground and standing on top of the slide and practicing throwing my jig.
Now that I have a kayak though, it will be less battling it out on the pier this year I hope. Cant wait, cobia are one of the best fish to eat and cobia sashimi is divine!

No first shot rule in Navarre.
In Navarre, if you see a fish, you sit quiet and hope no one else sees it until he gets in range. Or, my favorite strategy since I cant spot a fish 500m away like some of those guys can, I sit and watch people and when some one picks up a rod I grab mine and go looking and hope I can out cast him!
