I just picked up a 3" NGT :D

But my 4" NTT is picking on it. Not chasing it, just tries to bite the NGT when they cross paths.

Is there any thing I can do to curb the aggression?

Maybe he will calm down after a meal.

That's weird my thinbar is extremely timid, and I've heard NGT are the most aggressive of dats. Give it a few days, datnoids usually are a little aggressive to each other but rarely do any serious damage, as long as not chasing each other all over the tank it'll be fine. Just make sure to keep an eye on them. Getting more dats will probably spread the aggression out.

i agree, ngt's are usually the more aggressive species. throw an indo in there with them and see if that curbs the aggression. what temp is your tank at?

Temp is at 85F

Anybody have a 3 bar indo (poor man's ST) for sale? lol

Thanks for the help everyone. The NTT seems to have calmed down, but I will keep a close eye.

Just wait for the tides to turn. I would get more dats (not NGTs though).

The current situation will change bro. That NGT will be on your NTT in no time. More dats like what everyone else suggested.

Tom's in long beach has 3-3.5" NGT for $150.
