small discus black specs?

so im thinking about getting school of dicus for one of my tanks but at the lfs all the 2 3 inch fish have black speckles all over them will that fade out as they mature?? what about black stripes will they fade?

the black stripes, are called stress stripes, will fade as they mature, and only apeear when the discus are stressed or not fine.
These black speckles you're talking about, can be some dots ?? well, it can be a pigeon blood (this is normal, and one of his caracteristics).

there were some cobult blues marlbro reds and some other assorted discus and you could call them spots

The black specks you see on some of the discus are known as peppering and is characteristic of pigeon blood genetics. They fade and reappear with mood and stress in varying degrees. They will never completely go away.

I read that this peppering is sorta like a camoflauge in tanks with darker substrates and backgrounds. Bought a silver pigeon that was clear as day, soon as he adjusted to my darker colored tank, he was sprinkled with lots of pepper.
I wonder how he'd taste with some added salt and hot sauce!
