small eel in big trouble HELP ASAP!

i came across a tiny zig zag eel at the lfs today.. its about 2 inches long and very skinny.. i got it for $5 but its side was scratched up a little.. by the time i got home it wasnt moving i currently have it in a small plastic tank prob a 1 gallon or less.. and its in its half its orginal water and half of my tank water + a small plant i put in there i donno just tryin to help.. its just layin on the bottom not moving at all.. i though it was dead but noticed that gills are still moving a little. what should i do?? :( is there any hope left.. doesnt look like it:( its so tiny what a shame :(
 
did you add any salt and he might need heat maybe thats why hes not moving
 
does that little tank have any filtration??
 
no i didnt add salt and... no i didnt add heat i figured the water from my tank was warm.. should i throw him in my tank thats 80F with my other fish.. i have a small pleco.. 2 small parrots.. 2 gold severum.. a baby blue whal catfish thats harmless.. and a cory cat and a snail in a 35 gallon hex.. i dont want him to get picked on but my fish never picked on eachother before. what should i do?
 
in my non-expert opinion i would acclimate him to your tank and put him in a breeder net for a bit and hope for the best...sorry im not much help
 
in my VERY EXPERT OPINON, :j/k: :liar:i wud say get him in ur tank as fast as u can!
 
damn i dont think hes going to make it.. when it threw him in he was already stiff but however his gills are still moving.. i donno doesnt look too good to me.. i feel so bad :( i wish i could of saved him.. i guess ill just wait til tom morning and then take him out. i suppose hell be gone by then thanx for everyones help. i tired my best. he was already all scratched up from the fish store it might of made him weak i dono
