small flies in filters???

took the covers off my filters and small fly lookin things came outt....what do u guys think they are and why are they in the filters

Did they hop around? And did they look super tiny and white?

they didnt hop around... when i opend the covers some tiny ones flew out and i can see others floatin in the water

Ew, I'd go beserk and get a new filter. Get some pics to help us identify the problem please.

Images are a must. If they are dead set flies, then you shouldnt worry too much. Just do an extra water change every now and then so they dont crash your filter or anything like that. Dont you think they would of dround if it flew away?
