Small Gourami's

I have a dwarf gourami right now and i know you can't have 2 males together unless in a large aquarium...
Just curious if you could have males of different breeds (honey, blue etc.)?
or will they still just kill each other no matter what..

My experience is that they fight, no matter. I find that most gourami males are angry with just any other gourami in the tank!

But that's just my experience.

Male gouramis will usually fight regardless of species. Even the tiny sparkling gouramis will spar.

I have 3 different kinds in there now... A female silver 2 spot, a male gold gourami, and a male opaline. The two males are very nippy at eachother! We are about to upgrade our tank size. I'm sure they are ok for the most part if they have adequate space to get away from eachother.

Usually they will fight. Gourami's can be pretty aggressive. I love kissing gorurami's, I had one really nasty one. She would even chase the cichlids.
