I need some advice on some typically small growing plants like 8-12inches if there is any!

also is there iny plants that will grow in sand?

i have someamazon swards in my 55gallon and it looks like there doing pretty good in the sand but just wondering if there are any other plants that can do well in sand?

Howdy,

Most plants will flourish in sand. Have you tried any Cryptocoryne? They are my all-time favorites, easy-to-care-for and come in different varieties. C. wendtii is widely available and might fit your requirements well.

Anubias barteri,Cryptocoryne walkeri,Italian Val

what about these

thats what i was was wondering about?

Ooooh Cryptocoryne looks really good!!

thanks

Many crypts will work great, also, some anubias, however these cannot be buried in the sand. There are several great plants that will work, but what style of plant are you looking for?

Vals in general get very tall. The anubia would have to have its rhizome out of the substrate. Most plants will root better in a sand substrate than a gravel substrate.

well i am looking for something my preds will look good in stalking there prey and also they can hide in, that also looks good thats why i brought up the itallian val!!

Howdy, I have Italian Vallisneria (V. spiralis) in my 220 gal ... tank is 29'' tall ... it reaches the surface easily ...
