Ok so 2 days ago I was closely looking at all my fish and noticed 2 of my new baby EBJD's had 1 white spot each. I also seen one of them "flash" here and there a day or so earlier. All the other fish have no signs of ich, and everyone in the tank is eating and acting fine. I of course checked my tank water and I have 0 amonia and nirates are barely reading. I think my tank may have got infected because I didn't quarantine new fish or plants... I know I know, not very bright...

So here's what I did:
-big water change
-raised temp to 86
-added aquarium salt
-waited about 5 hours then added jungels antiparisite tabs

That was 2 days ago and now that I have examined my fish and see no sign of ich on them I am wondering what to do? I'm aware of how ich works and know that once it falls off the fish it multiplies then starts looking for a host again in a day or so. So what should I do now that there is no spots on my fish and no "flashing" going on?

This was my plan today:
-big water change along with sand sweeping
-add a little more salt
-keep temp at 86
-add more jugles antiparasite tabs

Here is my questions:
-Since I plan on changing about half of my water, do I only use a half dose of the antiparasite tabs? Or do I use a full dose again?
-Also, how long should I wait to stop treating, lower temp, add carbon back to the filter, and gradually water change the salt out of the tank?

Appreciate all your help!

I use copper safe on my fish and even my Pictus cats. They are fine and it works so well for me. I know some people hate to use copper. I have a copper test kit so I can make sure I put just the right amount in. It can take 2 weeks to rid a tank of ich. Also once a fish has had it they can fight it if they ever are exposed to it again. All my LFS have ich infected fish. So If I don't put them in QT tank I get ich. I notice my fish that have had ich are as effected as the new fish.

Good luck water changes help A LOT when fighting parasites and keeping them from getting any secondary infectiosn.
