i got a 5" jar and i just placed some small tankmates in with him. i know its way too soon to see if he's goona be a killer, but he comes up to my 4" pearsi and waves his tail at the pearsi just like cichlids do. is this a sign of aggresion?he pays no attn. to the other fish with him, including an 1.5" myersi.

i have seen 1.5" jars being extremely aggressive against their own kind at my lfs
there were 5 of them but only 3 survived in the end
