Three days ago i got a small jardini about 4'' from a shop..
(It was an order since its the only way to obtain a fish like that in my country so i didnt see her eat there)
So here comes the story..
First day i acclimated her to my 90gal tank.Tankmates are 2 Datnoides microlepis 5'' and one ornata chitala 15''.As i guessed the dats didnt pay much attention to her, however i was surpised that she was attacked to my (otherwise) calm chitala.
I decided to move the jardini in my feeders tank, which is a 15gal tank to let her relax and get her eat.

In last couple of days however i havent seen her attack a single fish. Also tried to feed her with live earthworm but no sucess.
I am planning to try small crickets on monday but i am worried.
Is it because it is a small fish??

Behaviour seems normal, swiming but bit afraid when i close to the tank.I also put black cardboard around the tank so it feels safer..

Any advice??Is there anything else i can do?

PS: Since dats eat really fast i dont plan on moving it to the 90gal before i've seen her eat and "claim" her food.I am setting up a 150gal so next month i hope all fish end up there

How many feeders did you have in the 15 gal befpre adding the jar and afterwards? A 4" fish can only eat so much b4 they are full. Also did you check the water parameters of your feeder tank? Probably need to do a water change, 15 gallons is a bit small.

Tank has 15 fish inside..Not one is missing..I did a 90% water change before putting her inside the small tank.
I change daily a small amount of water

the 15gal has an internal filter quite strong about 175gal/hour..do u think it is too strong??
(temperature 23-24 celsius)

Bought some crickets and throwed a couple inside the tank.No interest again :(
However a couple of hours later when i got back home i counted -2 feeders...I hope she ate them (cant find another reason for their absense)
I still wont be calm until i see her eat with my own eyes.

Try some pellets, bloodworms, brine shrimp, krill, etc?? Beats me... I only buy aro's that show interest in food and are already feeding well at the LFS. I would be worried too if I offered an aro live fish and crickets and they didn't smash them! Good luck!
