I think you should follow the 1 Tsp per 10 gallon rule (if remember correctly). adding too much salt won't help treat the ich faster.
last time I had ich in one of my 180g I just bump the temperature above 86F for 2 weeks then all the ich die off.
Wasn't a jar, but a silver of mine had no problems with one tablespoon per 5 gallons and 85 degrees while battling ich. Only problem was the aro tried to eat a spoonful of salt when I added it, so recommend you dissolve before adding.
