Small monster trying to eat a smaller monster

Shortly after downing a few earthworms, this 5" peacock tried to eat his roommate who was 3". The next day I had to remove the fish from his mouth, as he was still having issues trying to swallow him. This sucks!!!!!

hope atleast the big guy survives, i lost a lmb when i was young cuz a 5" bass decided to try to eat a 4" cray, 3 days later the bass rolled over and the cray survived

Pretty common. Have to be very careful, especially at those smaller sizes.

Yes the big guy did survive and is doing fine.

that sucks im trying to grow out some 3 inch mono's to get in big tank with 4-5" ocell. not sure how long i have to wait now.

he was hungry when they are small you need to keep them fed other wise they will try and eat the smallest fish in the tank
