I have 4 small peacock bass around 2" long. 2 kelberi and 2 ocelaris. I have always had a decently difficult time getting them to grow out and eat well being so small. Any advice?

At that size I was never able to get them on pellets. They are to small to starve to long in my opinion. I use home bred feeder guppies to fatten them up big time. At about 4" I drop from live and start the starve. Longest has been 2 weeks. Never fails.

I got mine at about 3" or so when it was on bloodworms. I mixed up floating carnisticks with the bloodworms and dumped them in and he took pellets the first try. Ive had him for about 2 months and heres his growth progression. Hes now on massivore.

Make sure you keep water temperature around mid 80's. Young bass need warm water, helps stimulate their appetite. I always start with floating foods. Young bass are instinctively surface feeders. Hikari Food Sticks work well.
