other than bristlenose is there a CA/ SA pleco that stays smallish 4-5" that looks good and is interesting?

All loricariidae members come from south america. There are hundreds that fit your description, a more specific set of requirements would help narrow the field. Give us a max size, purpose, specific colors, etc.

Here you go:

Size: 5" MAX
Purpose: Minor Algae, must enjoy driftwood and being fed wafers, pellets, veggies, krill ocasionally, Will be homed in a 75 with a pair of JD's as the only other inhabitants. Looking for either a pair m/f or a trio m/f/f
Colors: Blue, Red, Green highlights wife really likes albinos though. open to various markings.
Tank Configuration: Temp 80-81, DIY Sump/ Overflow, minimal flow no rushing rivers, Mildly decorated with a driftwood cave in the center and a couple of larger rocks, substrated is flourite, a couple of plants.

Hope that helps, also somewhat easy to obtain would be nice also.

The only ones that stay in that size range and have any of the colors you asked for are going to be albino bristlenose, and L103/104.

Yeah, thats what I figured just had to ask though.

I would go with albino bushynose or clown pleco. Clown plecos have a nice pattern.

With those decorations in your tank, you may never see a small pleco.
