Have you added any new fish recently? Look closely at your fish to see if you spot any coming from the anus of any fish. Or is it in your turtle tank? Either way they sound like callanus worms or a close relative, Treat with any anti parasite med that contains a mix if praziquantel, metronidazole, and levamisole or similar dewormer, Jungle Labs makes some or try Paracide-D. Just follow the products usage instruction. They are especially common in loaches.

its in the fish tank i havent added any new fish in awhile just keep having them die on me i have seen nothing coming from the anus of the fish ill look into these products this weekend they if dosed correctly safe for all my fish? i dont want to lose anymore
thanks guppy you are da man

is there any of those that is better or they all the same pretty much?

Nic :)

The ones that contain the metro, prazi, and levamisole are pretty safe even with sensitive fish like discus, loaches and cories. Read the instructions and err on the side of to little rather than to much, you might try a 3/4 dose the first time. I have used it on clowns but never kept queens. If the fish that died looked skinny but fat at the same time, full bellied but a little thin elsewhere it was the worms. The brands seem pretty much the same.

Would garlic help this situation? I read before that garlic would take care of internal as well as external perisites. Would this be a good thing that he could add? I like the more natural solutions to meds if possible.

Garlic helps prevent infestation if they will eat food dosed with garlic oil but will not cure esablished cases, at least not completely, in treating worms with it it would only effect those that stay in the gut. Try a topic search on "garlic" and you will find several threads.

thanks again guppy
