Hi. I have a small 4" RTC that appears to have swollowed several gravel rocks. Does anyone know why he is doing this? Might he have some internal parasites and is trying to get rid of them by swallowing some gravel? I know sometimes RTC will injest rocks when eating, but this is excessive. Thanks

RTCs will eat anything. he should throw up the gravel by himself

They are coming out one way or another. Just like a bad burrito.

I have a friend with 7 rtc's and they are all about 2 feet long. He says when they go after feeders they scoop up a bunch of gravel, what doesnt come out when the spit, will come out the other end. They do pass gravel.

I'm sure a 2 footer would have no problems passing a little gravel, but mine is a baby at 3-4"!

My RTC had no trouble passing the gravel when he was small. He was constantly eating gravel but then I was feeding it shrimp pellets. My RTC is about 18 inches long and eating floating catfish food.

MY TIGERSHOVELNOSE DOES THE SAMETHING IT HASN'T AFFECTED HIM IT TAKE ALITTLE FOR HIS STOMACHE TO GO DOWN. NO WORRIES
