small senegal

Hi,
I bought this little one about 6 months ago and he does not seem to grow. Probably about 5 inches and grown less than an inch. He feeds well and somehow seems to be fine with 2 oscars, 3 much larger delhezi and senegal, synos and talking cats.
Will this be a problem in the long term?

how big is the tank? How often do you change the water and clean the tank? Is he getting picked on? Are the synos sucking on his slime coat? What are the water parameters? Have you checked for internal parasites? There are many variables

Same thing has happened to me... Im starting to think they r differant from regular senegals...

I bought 2 at the same size..3"... One of them has reached 10" while the other is about 4-5"...
 
i don't know how well it competes for food, or if he's getting picked on etc. But that aside, senegal (regular/albino) growth can vary a lot nowadays with all the farm breeding going on. probably just bad genes.

He feeds really well. He is in a 150 gallon tank and is much more active than my other senegal, about the same as the 2 delhezi. Oscars ignore him and I have never seen any problem with the synos or oscars. He was in a five foot tank and same problems.
I'm just a bit worried that if he doesn't grow and they do they will eat him! Think it is probably genetic.

i have seen the same thing in my2 seng i got back in july. 1 is now around 7.5-8" and the other is still only about 5" i watch him eat and some times even feed him by hand he has no problems what so ever and is a perfectly healthy fish he is just small.
