Sorry I am new here.

Well I have a 90gallon tank that has been set up for 3 years now, Have 2 large parrot fish, and now the g/f wanted more fish and I have introduced some new fish over the past month or so longer. 2 jewels, 2 small oscars, 1 jaguar cichlid and 1 red devil. well the other day one of the jewels bellyed up while I was at work. Come home to find the g/f already flushed him. So I looked at the tank thinking maybe the other fish did it.
Well now I see a couple small spots on the jaguar, red devil and the oscars. I looks like some kind of fungus. not ick spots.
So I just finished up cleaning out half the gravel and all the filters, I plan on removing the rest of the gravel tomorrow and cleaning the filters again. I did not know the gravel was that filthy.
My ? is. What else should I be doing, What kind of medication. I dont want to loose anymore fish like all of us dont.

I'm sorry I dont have any pic's right now. But any info, And I will listen well.

Without pics, I can not rule out ich....Please post pics for better help...

My guess at the moment is columnaris. Pics are needed however for a positive ID. Post tank maintenance schedule and water parameters.

For future reference, please tell your girlfriend to resort to humane means of euthanasia. Flushing a fish to the toilet is really cruel as the fish suffers from what is going on down the toilet and sewers.

Sorry, did not mean to make it sound like the fish was still alive at time of flushing, She said it was already gone and she took it out and then, well flushed it.
I will get pic's tonight and post them up as soon as I can.

Thank you for the help.
