After an unexpected emergency trip out of town in which my dear friend watched my tanks i came back to what seemed to be five spotless tanks. However, last night when i was veiwimg my bichirs tank i noticed quite afew teenie tiny white worms. I have googled this issue and it seems that these come from over feeding and are not harmful to my fish. Be this as it may i would like to erradicate them as quickly as possible. I assume that adding aquarium salt followed by several waterchanges will do the trick. Do you think this will be an effective means of killing the worms? Also, i am concerned as to how i should cleanse the device i use to vacuum the substrate. Is it possi le for me to place it in a buclet of isopoyl alcohol for a number of days then rinse it several times to avoid cross contaminating my other tanks with these nasty little things?
