I recently caught some bluegill and put them in my tank with out quarantining them. I now notice that two of my fish (red ear, and blue gill) have a few tiny white thread like worms attached to there face and fins. I don't believe they are anchor worms cause they don't have the split tail. The fish show no signs of sores or redness but I do notice they rub up against things.

What should I do? The other day I dumped in some prazipro as suggested by an aquarium worker. Any thought?

Worms and flukes are very common in the wild, odds are better of bring a fish home with them, than without.
Most cannot thrive under aquarium conditions, and will die off naturally.
I have used Prazipro to good effect in the past, it will kill the worms, but it may take a few days for the dead worms to fall off the fins.

Can you explain the treatment procedure you used?
