Well I have had this 7" del for about 6 months now, and he has been a great fish, and has a distinct personality. Recently (about a month ago) I added a smaller 5-6" senegal. They got along great until a few days ago when I noticed my del would hang up top all day near the intake/ heater. While I searched and found that this is normal activity for many bichirs, or could be the result of gas, it is not that. Today I figured it out that it is more of a bichir agression. Before I went to feed them tonight, I noticed my sen following my del, and the del would swim crazily around bashing his head into the glass at times. Then it got worse, and the sen was gripped on to the delhezis tail fin. He has continued to do this as I write this... Also the del has what looks like small wounds/blood on his tail fin. I already raised the temp. and plan on getting some aquarium salt tomorrow to help him out. I also added one of my large pieces of DW to the tank with another structure in hope that he would have a better time hiding.

What is the best thing to do with this situation? Thanks

Thanks for the header. Hopefully I can get some more polys sooner rather than later. No tail nipping in the last 10 minutes, hope it stays this way.

add more polys or let them settle the situation themselves as I've learnt. my bichirs used to pick on each other but they're ok now.
Give them some time:)
