This is a before and after shot of my 29g, I'm not sure if its a step up or down.

After:

I liked it before the change! It looks empty, but the fish makes up for it! :(

This is the 55g:

First pic is during setup so you can see the hard water stains. I used some 1500 grit wet to take it off. Completely invisible underwater but can still be seen slightly when dry.

Stock is:

6 clown loaches
2 female festae
4 grow-out umbee

Thanks everyone. I think the after 29 is nice and simple too! I'm glad someone backed me up.

The dims of the 55 are 48x12x20 off the top of my head. Just standard.

I imagine your going bare bottom for easier cleaning?

I have done same thing but you could add some driftwood branches that reach up. Your fish will swim higher into tank use all the space with driftwood branches .

Nice fish by the way.

Yes, I tend to overfeed and there's a lot of waste as a result. Barebottom lets me get it all into the filter or siphon it off.

Thanks for the suggestion louie I'm thinking about experimenting with some branches I found and this is the tank to do it.
