In the caiman den
what is the smallest adult ray? which is the hardest out of the small breeds? how much they cost? tank size? (obviosly new to rays)

some what helped. still what are the hardiest breeds? were can i get them? cost?

Motoros are considered one of the hardiest. They are usually around $100~$150 for a good looking, small motoro. You can usually find captive bread motoros for $150. They do get big though.

Potamotrygon Motoro - P1
Maximum Size (Disc Width): appx. 30"+, females get larger.
Ease of Keeping: P. Motoro are known as the most available, hardiest, easiest to keep 'beginner' ray. However, it's large tank size requirements become a daunting task once the ray grows large.

Its all in the stickies...

My first ray is a retic. IMO, easy to keep, BUT...this is my first ray.

hystrix and scobina would be your smallest.... and cost depends... wild brazil hytrix have been avail im not sure on scobina

Theres really no hard or easy. Its all the same when you do it right.

thanks nic and hay

if you want an easy ray to keep, get a captured bred one. Wild caughts stress out a lot easier.

I don't know where you live, but both Scobina and Hystrix are readily available here. Scobina tend to be more expensive as well.
