I am wondering what the smallest fish you guys keep with your Arowana, I am about to move my 9inch sliver and put it in my 240g show tank. Most all of the fish in there won't fit in its mouth but a couple could(mainly baby cichlids) . Now my roomates like to feed it goldfish and watch it eat but with the last batch of golds their were 3 left and he wouldn't eat them for a month now. He will go after feeder guppies and live shrimp.

but what is the smallest fish you have with ur aro that he won't eat and will he eat other fish of that size.

Km

Smallest fish in my tank is a 5" royal pleco. As they get bigger they generally won't eat smaller fish, ie, when they are 2' long, they generally don't try to eat the neons.

my green is 16" , smallest in my tank is a royal pleco about 4" , and I have another small datnoid he is about 4" also.

You have a GREEN aro, and you live in the US?

I have seen neons with big aros a few times.

If you keep the aro well-fed on non-live food it should be fine as it won't see the smaller fish as a food source. I have a green (18+") and a jardini (16+") in my monster comm. Smallest fish are my CL which are around 4" now..

umm, was a 1" clown loach but now i moved him into the 75 growout tank.
